Timothy W. Harrington

Tim Harrington is a Supreme Court Certified Circuit Court Mediator who, before joining Leon and Berg, was a trial lawyer in Florida for 41 years, initially engaged in criminal defense and later commercial litigation before a career as an insurance defense attorney. He was a staff counsel lawyer and Lead Counsel for Allstate Insurance Company in Miami and Fort Myers for 20 years, Managing Attorney for Geico General Insurance Company in Miami for 8 years and House Counsel III for Progressive Casualty Insurance Company in Miami from 2015 to 2024. Tim served 2 terms on the Florida Bar Standing Committee on Professionalism, has been recognized for Guardian ad Litem pro bono services for children and has had the privilege of mentoring many lawyers entering the practice of civil litigation, emphasizing preparation, professionalism and courtesy. These experiences give Tim the ideal perspective and temperament to help parties resolve their disputes in mediation.
